Chrome has a redesigned landing page, which has  features including smaller thumbnails, no apps list and a larger Google Search box, the setting that previously allowed the change to be reverted has been retired.

But some people wanted the old new tab page of chrome so in this trick you can get the old new tab page of chrome back.

1) - Type chrome://flags/ in address bar of chrome and press enter

2) - Press CTRL + F

3) - In the find box find Enable Instant extended API

4) - When you find it select disabled below it.

5) - Restart your chrome and the old new tab page will be back.
